Chanel @ Bal Harbour Shops Is Reopening in March With A Gorgeous New Design

Recently, Bal Harbour Shops has undergone major plastic surgery: nips, tucks, removals, expansions. It is the commercial epicenter for luxury goods, globally renowned as the “best shopping mall in the world.” I couldn’t agree more. Most recently, as we all know, Bal Harbour Shops has lost some of their longest-standing retail brands to the Design District and the Aventura Mall. However, the retail mothership has not lost its panache. In fact, it is now about to do a massive expansion over the next three years.

Here is some breaking news for you: Chanel, the French fashion house that moved to the second floor temporarily, has announced they will reopen their doors with a brand new design! Same location, new face! Hello Chanel 2.55 in Emerald Green, here I come!

According to Chanel Fashion Division President Barbara Cirkva, this new store is “now one of the most beautiful Chanel boutiques in the world and we are proud to reopen here in Miami.” This 8,000-square-foot boutique houses ready-to-wear, handbags, costume jewelry, shoes, watches, fragrance and beauty. The renovations were spearheaded by architect Peter Marino, known for his ability to reinterpret the brand’s storied heritage. The exterior of the shop is said to resemble a modern white lightbox with floor-to-ceiling display windows that showcase the latest runway looks.

Inside, what intrigues me most, is the tweed carpet. I kind of want to roll on it? Thoughts?

Any how, there is a grand opening in March. Did you make the list? The relaunch will be hosted by fabulous art-collecting and truly beautiful sister-in-laws Michelle Rubell and Nikki Simkins, along with Criselda Breene. Dress to impress for that one!
